Silent night, a very peaceful song
Silent Night : Lyrics
Silent night, holy night All is calm, all is bright Round yon Virgin Mother and Child Holy Infant so tender and mild Sleep in heavenly peace Sleep in heavenly peace
Silent night, holy night! Shepherds quake at the sight Glories stream from heaven afar Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia! Christ, the Saviour is born Christ, the Saviour is born
Silent night, holy night Son of God, love's pure light Radiant beams from Thy holy face With the dawn of redeeming grace Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth "
Silent night (saxophone version)
God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen/We Three Kings
God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen : Lyrics
God rest ye merry, gentlemen Let nothing you dismay Remember, Christ, our Saviour Was born on Christmas day To save us all from Satan's power When we were gone astray O tidings of comfort and joy, Comfort and joy O tidings of comfort and joy
In Bethlehem, in Israel, This blessed Babe was born And laid within a manger Upon this blessed morn The which His Mother Mary Did nothing take in scorn O tidings of comfort and joy, Comfort and joy O tidings of comfort and joy
From God our Heavenly Father A blessed Angel came; And unto certain Shepherds Brought tidings of the same: How that in Bethlehem was born The Son of God by Name. O tidings of comfort and joy, Comfort and joy O tidings of comfort and joy
"Fear not then," said the Angel, "Let nothing you affright, This day is born a Saviour Of a pure Virgin bright, To free all those who trust in Him From Satan's power and might." O tidings of comfort and joy, Comfort and joy O tidings of comfort and joy
The shepherds at those tidings Rejoiced much in mind, And left their flocks a-feeding In tempest, storm and wind: And went to Bethlehem straightway The Son of God to find. O tidings of comfort and joy, Comfort and joy O tidings of comfort and joy
And when they came to Bethlehem Where our dear Saviour lay, They found Him in a manger, Where oxen feed on hay; His Mother Mary kneeling down, Unto the Lord did pray. O tidings of comfort and joy, Comfort and joy O tidings of comfort and joy
Now to the Lord sing praises, All you within this place, And with true love and brotherhood Each other now embrace; This holy tide of Christmas All other doth deface. O tidings of comfort and joy, Comfort and joy O tidings of comfort and joy
Joy to the World
Joy to the World Christmas Carol Lyrics
Joy to the world, the Lord is come! Let earth receive her King; Let every heart prepare Him room, And Heaven and nature sing, And Heaven and nature sing, And Heaven, and Heaven, and nature sing.
Joy to the world, the Savior reigns! Let men their songs employ; While fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains Repeat the sounding joy, Repeat the sounding joy, Repeat, repeat, the sounding joy.
No more let sins and sorrows grow, Nor thorns infest the ground; He comes to make His blessings flow Far as the curse is found, Far as the curse is found, Far as, far as, the curse is found.
He rules the world with truth and grace, And makes the nations prove The glories of His righteousness, And wonders of His love, And wonders of His love, And wonders, wonders, of His love.
I have received some response from local forummers. They requested me to write some personal experience as a Christian. By next week, I will write and post up my personal experience of walking along the journey in order to find my Lord. Amen!
Christmas is coming. Are you ready to celebrate? Let us sing Christmas song and Gospels together and praise the Lord. For those who don't have anyone to celebrate with, you are always welcome to join and celebrate at your nearest Church. We always welcome you. Below is a very meaningful song that I found from another Christian blog i.e. We Are The Reason.
Folly is joy to him who is destitute of discernment, but a man of understanding walks uprightly. -Proverbs 15:21
Sometimes Christians follow an "open door" policy. When a door of opportunity opens, they assume that it's God's will to go through it.
Bestselling author Terri Blackstock knows this is untrue. She never openly rebelled against God, but she found herself far away from Him after walking through open doors of opportunity. "I had allowed myself to believe that God was blessing my career...because He had opened all the doors," she wrote in Soul Restoration. Although she got what she wanted- a successful career writing romance novels for Harlequin and Silhouete- she lost what she needed: a close relationship with God.
When she finally admitted that her career was keeping her from God, she turned her back on success and renewed her commitment to the Lord. Since then her writing career has been revitalized, and she has become an award- winning author of Christian fiction.
Just because the Lord doesn't stop us from something, doesn't mean He wants us to continue. To discern which opportunities to pursue, we need to "approve the things that are excellent" and to be "filled with the fruits of righteousness...to the glory and praise the God" (Phil. 1:10-11). -Julie Ackerman Link
When you're making a decision, Evil sometimes wears a mask, Trust the Lord for true discernment- He'll give wisdom if you ask. -Hess
The best way to know God's will is to say "I will" to God.
Here is a great video to share with you all. I will add the new episode here from time to time. Anyway, those who want to watch the whole episodes can watch in YouTube. Amen!!!
We have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function. -Romans 12:4
Bison are made in such a way that their natural inclination is to look down; the design of their necks makes it difficult for them to look up. In contrast, giraffes are designed in a way their necks were made makes it difficult for them to look down. Two creatures created by the same God but with distintively different body parts and purposes. Giraffes eat leaves from branches above. Bison eat grass from the field below. God provides food for both and neither has to become like the other to eat.
As we observe the animals and people around us, we're reminded that God made each of us unique for a purpose. One person's natural tendency is to look up and see the "big picture", while another looks down and focuses on details. Both are important. One is not better than the other. God gave us individual talents and spiritual gifts so that we can work together as a body.
Human beings are the crowning jewel of creation, and we shine the brightest not when we see our own likeness reflected in others but when each of us performs the unique functions that God designed for us to do. "Having then gifts differing according to grace that is given to us, let us use them" (Rom. 12:6). -Julie Ackerman Link
By God's wise designing We are wonderfully made, Every part essential And in perfect balance laid. -Anom
There are no unimportant members in the body of Christ.
You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. -Deuteronomy 6:5
At a funeral, I once overheard someone say of the deceased,"He was close to his god. He's safe now."
At times like that, I wish it were true that everyone could have their own god, live in whatever way they wanted, also be assured of eternal life in heaven. Then we wouldn't have to think too seriously about death. We wouldn't have to be concerned about where our unbelieving loved ones went when they died.
But Scriptures say that there is only one true God. " The LORD our God, the LORD is one!" (Deut. 6:4).And He is holy (Lev. 19:2). He says that we don't measure up to His standard for a relationship with Him. "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"(Rom. 3:23). Our sin has alienated us from Him.
In love, the heavenly Father provided the way to Himself through His perfect Son Jesus who died to pay the penalty for our sin. "For God loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life"(John 3:16). But we need to humble our hearts and receive His gift of forgiveness.
There is only one true God. He is holy and has provided the only way of eternal life through Jesus. Is He the God you are trusting in? Think about it - seriously. - Anne Cetas
There is a place reserved in heaven For everyone who has received Forgiveness and eternal life From Christ, in whom they have believed. -Sper
To get into heaven, it's who you know that counts.
Let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. -1 John 3:18
Many college students go on summer mission trips. But rarely soes one come back with plans to rescue a baby. Mallery Thurlow, a student at Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, went to Haiti to help distribute food. One day a mother showed up at the distribution center with a very sick infant in her arms. The woman was out of options. The baby needed surgery, but no one would perform it. Without intervention, the baby would die. Mallery took baby Rose into her arms - and into her heart.
After returning to the US, Mallery searched for someone to operate one baby Rose. Most doctors held out little hope. Finally, Rose was granted a visa to leave Haiti, and Mallery went back to get her. Detroit Children's Hospital donated the $100,000 surgery, and it was successful. A little life was saved.
It's unlikely that we will have such a dramatic impact on others. Yet challenged by this student's willingness, we canfind ways to provide help. She didn't let circumstances, youth, or inconvenience stop her from saving Rose's life.
Like Mallery, we are called to love "in deed and in truth" (1 John 3:18). Who needs you to be God's arms of love today? -Dave Branon
When you see someone in need, Love demands a loving deed, Don't just say love him true, Prove it by the deeds you do. -Sper
May the God of all grace,...after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. -1 Peter 5:10
In his early years of ministry, the English Preacher Charles Simeon (1759-1836) was a harsh and self-assertive man. One day he was visiting a friend and fellow pastor in a nearby village. When he left to go home, his friend's daughters complained to her father about Simeone's manner. So he took the girls to the backyard and said, "Pick me one of the peaches." It was warmly summer, and the peaches were green. The girls asked why he anted green. unripe fruit. He replied,"Well my dears, it is green now, and we must wait; but a little more sun, and a few more showers, and the peach will be ripe and sweet. So it is with Mr.Simeone."
Simeone, in due time, did change. The warmth of God's love and the "showers" of misunderstanding and disappointment were the means by which he became a gentle, humble man.
The God of all grace works in all His children, humbling the proud and exalting the humble, to make them ripe and sweet. Our task is to take hold of God's grace to endure our afflictions with patience, without growing weary.
In time, He will "perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle" us(1 Peter 5:10). We must "wait on the LORD" and "be of good courage" (Ps. 27:14). -David Roper
Our fruitfulness and growth in Christ Wont's happen instantly, But meditating on God's Word Will bring maturity. -Sper
Salvation is the miracle of a moment: growth is the labor of a lifetime.
